  • There are lots of restaurants, cafes and shopping within 20 minutes’ walk away from the guesthouse
  • Less than 15 minutes’ walk to famous Korean tourist attractions such as Changdeokgung Palace, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Deoksugung Palace, N Seoul Tower and famous museums
  • You can book online through H2O Guesthouse Myeongdong’s official website and it is also available in 3 different languages: Korean, Japanese and English
  • Friendly and helpful staffs that can speak fluent English and they can give you advice and suggestions on what to eat and where to visit

  • The location is difficult to find on the first try
  • The surrounding around the guesthouse is very dark and not traveller friendly with just one housewares store within the area
  • The surrounding looks unsafe for solo girl travellers
  • Some guests commented that it is a very tired looking guesthouse
  • Although the guesthouse has self-service check-in and check-out, the staffs are not present at counter most of the time
  • No staffs are presents during the night and also sometimes during the day so you will have to call the manager if you need anything
  • The main door is not locked during the night so anyone can get into the guesthouse
  • There is no tea for breakfast
  • Small dining area with no basin and kitchen facilities
  • No elevator so you have to carry your luggage up to your room
  • The rooms and bathrooms are tiny and not so clean
  • The blankets and towels are smelly
  • The rooms are also stuffy because you cannot open the windows
  • Many guests complained that there are a lot of mosquitoes and bugs
  • The air conditioner does not work sometimes
  • Some guests complained that the water taps and shower taps do not work well in the common bathrooms
  • There are no toiletries provided
  • Hot water tank is so small and it can only last for about 5 minutes so you are not able to wash your hair and take shower at once
  • The sink’s drainage is not connected to a piping system so the water that has been used will spill out

  • A lot of guests only stayed for one night and left immediately after that due to horrible experience while staying there
